What is artificial cartilage (Cartisin™)?

Cartisin™ is a new product in the field of cartilage tissue repair which is combination of an individual cell with a three-dimensional matrix and possibility to replace with damaged tissue.

After transplantation and replacement in tissue, this product underlies a natural environment, facilitate and accelerate the production process of collagen type II with high quality of the cells activity.


Aartificial cartilage (Cartisin™) in form of transplanted parts 2.5 up to 10 cm2 has been used to treat in joints design and provide a natural environment for the growth and activity of chondrocyte cells that produce collagen type II.

This product is presented as solid product which is a good alternative for knee cartilage repair in athletes and people under 50 years.

Preparation of artificial cartilage (Cartisin™) for storage

Cartilage pieces biopsy is used for the preparation of artificial cartilage. Chondrocytes cells are used in production process of this product. In terms of structure, Cartisin™ transplantation resists against presser, in terms of dimension is completely changeable and Ability to set height and depth during surgery is possible. All phases of the work are carried out in the laminar hood class 100 which is located in clean room environment.

Transplantation quality control system include extensive and complete structure to do accurate and perfect tests of virology and serology for transmissible infectious diseases which are in accordance with specified international standards eu-directive 23 \ 2004. Tests include:

HTLV1 , 2  Ab/RPR/ Endotoxin/ Mycoplasma,HIV1, 2 Ab/ HCVAb/ HBSAg
